{"id":1342,"date":"2010-03-11T07:00:02","date_gmt":"2010-03-11T14:00:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/2helenahandbaskets.com\/?p=1342"},"modified":"2010-03-11T07:00:02","modified_gmt":"2010-03-11T14:00:02","slug":"slaughtered","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/2helenahandbaskets.com\/?p=1342","title":{"rendered":"Slaughtered"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/2helenahandbaskets.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/innocent.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/2helenahandbaskets.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/innocent-300x205.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"innocent\" width=\"300\" height=\"205\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1343\" srcset=\"http:\/\/2helenahandbaskets.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/innocent-300x205.jpg 300w, http:\/\/2helenahandbaskets.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/innocent.jpeg 969w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Just when you think things can&#8217;t get any more bizarre in the House of Pelosi&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Would House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her fellow House Democratic leaders try to cram the Senate version of Obamacare through the House without actually having a recorded vote on the bill?<br \/>\nNot only is the answer yes, they would, they have figured out a way to do it, according to National Journal&#8217;s Congress Daily:<br \/>\n&#8220;House Rules Chairwoman Louise Slaughter is prepping to help usher the healthcare overhaul through the House and potentially avoid a direct vote on the Senate overhaul bill, the chairwoman said Tuesday.<br \/>\n&#8220;Slaughter is weighing preparing a rule that would consider the Senate bill passed once the House approves a corrections bill that would make changes to the Senate version.<br \/>\n&#8220;Slaughter has not taken the plan to Speaker Pelosi as Democrats await CBO scores on the corrections bill. &#8216;Once the CBO gives us the score, we&#8217;ll spring right on it,&#8217; she said.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Each bill that comes before the House for a vote on final passage must be given a rule that determines things like whether the minority would be able to offer amendments to it from the floor.
