We must remember that the results of this election were not just about voting FOR Republicans, but were also about voting AGAINST Democrats.
The Republicans have their work cut out for them, especially if Congress and the Fed (Bernanke) hamstring the efforts to turn the local economy around. Unemployment is going to remain high for the next couple years and there is not much anyone can do at this point to prevent that. There are many things outside the control of the Montana Legislature that effect the economy in Montana.
The Republicans must lay a good foundation for the recovery, whenever it arrives, with good tax policy and sensible spending (and cuts) or they will find themselves on the street in ’12.
