Former Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell commenting on the arrest of two doctors butchers at the Women’s Medical Society clinic in Philadelphia:
“All of those of us who are pro-choice abhor this, because it casts a negative light on that movement. All of us believe abortion should be legal, but that it should be safe. Clearly, what this physician was doing is not safe. It’s not safe for the mother. It’s certainly not safe for the fetus.”
Not safe for the fetus???
You. Have. Got. To. Be. Kidding. Me.
Has anyone ever said anything as frigging STUPID as that???
Yup….pretty frigging stupid.
Agreed. That is the stupidest thing I have ever seen. Clean or dirty, the fetus (or as I like to say, the baby) is going to come to the same sad end.
Just goes to show that they only speak in platitudes. They hope we don’t listen to them anymore than they listen to us.
I guess it’s their bad luck that we do listen to them. And then throw up.
So glad that Fast Eddie is no longer the Governor of my state, Pennsylvania. He is now though a national problemo…pMSNBC hired him as an ‘expert political commentator.’
Yep, you’d have to work pretty hard to come up with a statement stupider than that.
I’ve been trying to read through the grand jury report on this s.o.b and his accomplices, and find myself more astonished with every page I manage to get through. Not just that someone as evil as Gosnell exists, although that is astonishing enough; not just that his slaughterhouse was allowed to operate unimpeded for so long, even though multiple agencies knew about it, which is also pretty astonishing. But just as astonishing is the fact that he was able to find people who were willing to work there under conditions no normal person would be able to tolerate for five minutes. Read the descriptions of the place: decaying corpses piled up all over, dried up blood everywhere, filth everywhere, bathrooms that seldom got cleaned (even though patients were constantly throwing up in them and bleeding all over the place and frequently giving birth while seated on the toilet), the ubiquitous stench of urine, feces, blood, rotting flesh — and ask yourself if you could work in an environment like that. And yet he had some people working for him who had been there for years. Absolutely unbelievable.
