  1. If you check into one of these hotels and you get home afterward, what do you think the chance is that you will find you have been infected by a runaway Democrat?

  2. OMG, Steve – I hadn’t thought of that! Do you suppose that we’ll discover that liberalism is not only a mental illness, but one that is spread through contact with microscopic vermin?

  3. This is off topic, but I’d like to see a post on the, for lack of a better term, extremist bills floating through the legislature. Examples: sheriff first (sort of neutered by Jim Shockley), all the nullification stuf, you get the idea.
Any chance on a post on that Basket Case Manager?

And are those “runaway Democrats” sort of like a bed bug infestation? LOL

  4. Mike –

I’ve sorta tried a couple of times to formulate a coherent post about various bills that are winding their way through the system and I keep running into a head=slapper. Just because I agree or disagree with a specific bill doesn’t exactly rise to a level of expertise on the matter. Personally, I don’t support most of the extremist bills, and I think nullification is more of a temper tantrum rather than a reasonable way to address legitimate concerns, but I trust the system and figure that any bill that successfully makes it through both House and Senate and survives the gov’s veto is probably a legitimate representative of the will of the majority of the people.

Now, if you want my opinion on HB306 I’d be happy to go into nauseating detail on why that sucker needs to be killed. DEAD. Deader ‘n a doornail. So dead there’s no chance it could get resurrected in a million years. Really, really dead.

  5. Rob Natelson has a post about nullification on the Electric City Weblog. Interesting read. And I respect someone like him with the credentials he has. Just thought I’d let you all know.
