Sometime in the wee hours of this morning (or at least sometime after my bedtime last night) a new blog was launched in the Montana blogosphere – the Rotunda Report. This blog is unique. It is a direct line of communication between our elected officials and “we the people”. No longer do we have to depend on the biased, liberal reporters in the MSM to tell us what’s happening – and why! – in the halls of Montana’s capitol. We can read/see/hear firsthand from the folks we elected to represent us. And we’ll be able to return the favor as comments will be allowed (although they will be monitored and will require a login). You’ll know what’s going on – the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly – from the perspective of those who are right smack in the middle of the sausage-making.
The session begins Monday and the information on this site will be of tremendous interest to all of us. Add this one to your daily favorites and check it out regularly.
But will they listen to the public or will ultra-left-wing hate groups flood the site with their propaganda and lies?
I will register ASAP to fight those ultra-left-wing hate groups and their propaganda.
Added to blogroll. Thanks!
Auntie Lib? I found your site through HillBuzz…but I won’t have to look in the future as I have added you to my blogroll. In answer to your question, yes, I am a 4th generation Montana girl living pert near in Alberta. This past election (selection) was a rude awakening.
Thanks – and welcome aboard – your comments are always welcome! I’d like to return the favor – what’s your blog?
jlw – I can certainly understand your concern about people that do not share the conservative view “flooding the site”. The site is moderated, which heaven forbid, I can only imagine the flak arising from someone not approving a conflicting post – cries of “censorship” are sure to be heard.
As for your registering ASAP to fight these people, I do not think that is the purpose of the blog. My understanding is that it is for the public/constituents and legislators to share information – not for doing battle with someone that opposes your views on the issues. I believe there are plenty of blogs already devoted to that purpose. Of course, the more information that is presented, the better š
The above comments are my own and do not reflect the opinion of anyone else.
Mike;
Liberals can flood the site with misinformation and propaganda to try to influence legislators. The Helena IR does it everyday when they try to convince the public that global warming is man caused and CO2 is the culprit. Neither of which is not only not proven, but CO2 went up after global warming and is a symptom not a predictor.
Unfortunately I have noticed that left wing liberals do tend to write more. All you have to do to prove this is look at the political bent of the media and their voting record. Their manipulation of this election by picking both the Democrat and Republican leaders was obvious even to the general public.
Since I will also have to live with the laws written I will try to make sure that I ‘share’ my concerns for the bills I support and that I ‘share’ my concerns for those I don’t, just like everyone else.
My view is that writing laws is always a battle between parties, otherwise we would only need one party.
But thanks for your comments and get in there and support conservative values.
I agree with jlw-politics is another form of war. There is no surrender. Too often members of the conservative ranks become drunk with the lies of liberalism.
The thirteen members of the Montana House who broke principle and cut a deal with the Governor (Montana own log cabin Republicans) are great examples. Another one is Lt. Governor Bohlinger. He betrayed all true Republicans by joining Governor Schweitzer, and then a friend gives me a copy of this letter that he sent to our party chair.

This is too much. We cannot compromise our principles. Socialism is not the answer!
Bohlinger is a RHINO as are many others in our party. but how can we deny that he is right that we cannot keep losing elections. How many times do we have to lose before we realize that we are doing something wrong. it is time to rise up and take back our party!!!
The only way to right this party is to push out the moderates like Bolhinger. That is why I support Natelson’s and Koopman’s are you a conservative test. The party should use the results of this test and get rid of all the RINO’s. Until we stand with only our true conservatives will be able to guide and lead Montana.
Sales was right to start the session a partisan conservative ‘cannot’ principle. Only if the Senate would do the same.
Corey, Kenneth & Garry (and everyone else!)~
Your comments inspired me to put down my thoughts about the party. I hope you’ll check out my latest post and continue this conversation. It is an important one for Republicans to have.
