That’s Not a Threat – It’s a Promise

Because I don’t have time for a thousand words tonight….

sigh

Wonder if this should be sent to a few Congress critters? Couldn’t hurt.

  1. I like it. I just hope all the people that are not happy actually get out and vote. It’s long past time that some of these bozos in office had to seek an alternate career or retire.

  2. I just hope the GOP offers us someone other than a lefty-centrist like McCain. If we don’t get a true conservative all we will have is the same ol’ politics with a different label.

Is it too late to start CPR on Regan?

  3. jlw – agree!

I liked Mark Sanders as a possible candidate – until he got caught. Not sure about Pawlenty as I don’t know much about him. I also like Mitch Daniels – gov. of Indiana, but he says he won’t run. I don’t think Romney is electable, and I never was fond of Guliani. Huckabee is just more big government.

If the GOP runs Palin, it will be another sorry 4 years of BO on top of the BS we already have in this state.

    Any suggestions for “true conservatives”?

  4. John Boehner has been there long enough to rise to the top as someone with solutions and not just whining about the liberal Democrats plans. I have not seen where he has done much to assert himself. There is a major perception problem of the Republican Party. They say they want to solve problems, the Democrats propose “unacceptable” solutions and all the Republicans do is to vote against them without offering another path. Whether that perception is actually true is a matter for discussion.

Most people are just plain tired of government interfering in their lives and just want to be left alone. Both parties try to do way too much social engineering.

  5. Annie – agree it is discouraging. I guess sometimes you have to hit bottom before you can recover. With the current political power structure and administration policies, we are surely headed for a bottom. Let’s just hope the Republican Party can be regain some of its lost credibility and be ready with the “right” candidate(s) to clean up the mess and lead once again when the time comes. I fear it will be a rather big mess to clean up.

…[t]hough people support the government, the government should not support the people – Grover Cleveland – a Democrat!

Last I saw, over 50% of the people were receiving a check from the government every month.
