With thanks and a H/T to Mike at Last Best Place for the video. He uses it to underscore the basic problem with the healthcare bill. I don’t for a second dismiss his point, but I would like to use the same clip to illustrate a completely different point:

Seriously, listen to the exchange between Senator Coburn and Max.
Honestly, can any of you – with a straight face – say that you would trust Max to make an informed and intelligent decision on even the least important choice in your life?
No wonder so many in Washington DC think we voters are dumb. Look at who we elect to represent us. It’s not even a matter of principles or ethics. Or even that elusive concept of common sense. It’s about basic IQ.

Makes you wonder who wrote the health bill he submitted. It obviously was not him.
jlw – how do you know he didn’t write it himself? From what we’ve heard of it, the bill doesn’t exactly rise to the level of competent, let alone intelligent.

I don’t know your senator very well, is he tryin to dodge the issue or is he really that dim? I agree that he looked like he was on something.
I just hope the majority of Montana voters realize our senior Senator is not capable of representing us and will remember this when Montana Max comes up for re-election in five years. But if history can give us any clue about that upcoming election, most Montanans will have forgotten his foibles and will mark an X by Max’s name on the ballot.

jlw – I saw this video a couple of days ago. The far left is trying to make this stuff against Max go viral and I just decided that I really don’t choose to aid and abet the nuts at Daily Kos and Huffpo. It’s not that Max doesn’t deserve the hit – it’s just that I figure I’ll stay out of the circular firing squad the Dems are forming up on this one.
It is embarrassing to think that Max is vying for the Teddy Kennedy Memorial Inebriate Award.
